More visibly the foxing can pull away from the upper leather at those points where the shoe bends …particularly in the toe box area. I wear Vans a lot. Vans are made exactly like these prototype shoes you’re showing and they suffer from the two issues I just mentioned. I’m not saying your shoes will, but you have to make sure the vulcanization process is done properly and done well.
